surgery numero dos, succeed
21 Feb
hanging out in park city UT, at an incredibly nice and graciously offered house on a hill, a huge hill a mountain, eastern slope of the Wasatch. ..tucked away into aspens for healing.
thanks Mike Kaeske.
surgery was successful. or at least that’s what i was told. everything seems to be connected and functional. . it’s just feels like some new hardware was just boared into my bones .. but, now though i can move and live without the worry or concern of having the bone finding/meeting again. . and then the dangerous window of time where you can re-break it.
i’ll be on my bike again this week.
once again the doctors of BMC cam through, handing me off from one’s care to the next. Major called Testa who called Heiden who hurried home from his Hawaiian vacation to fit me that same afternoon he flew home. . once again indebted.

Glad to hear it went well. Many healing thoughts coming your way!
Scott,
I am so glad the surgery was a success. I enjoyed meeting your parents and Jennifer and sharing the Sierra Road experience with them. And then meeting you the next day…in was a pleasure. I look forward to seeing you race again.
Amy
We need to graft Adamantium to your bones so they don’t break. Than you can go wolverine on the other riders
Scott,
I wish you a very prompt recovery! I got the great chance to meet your Dad and family at the top of Sierra Rd at the stage 3 of TOC. After climbing it that morning before the race in these miserable conditions I admire your courage even more!!!
I wish you plenty of success in the very near future including another KOM jersey in the next TOC!
Go Scott!
Scott,
I hope you have a speedy recovery and also that this is the LAST time you break a bone. I’m a student of your father’s at Calvin Seminary. If you exhibit half of the courage he showed in battling cancer then you’ll be a warrior on the mountain roads.
All the Best,
Rick
